Subtle Enhancements: New Case for Degritter Mark II
Our next round of quality-of-life improvements for the Degritter Mark II are for those who appreciate both style and functionality.
With the improved Degritter Mark II case, we are finally saying goodbye to greasy fingerprints and water stains and hello to a new durable housing. The look of the machine stays the same, with the classic black and and a new gunmetal silver colourways. However, scratches, smudges and stains will become a thing of the past thanks to the textured powder coating.
Furthermore, the new casings will eliminate the need for an AC switch, as the machine will now automatically detect voltage. Despite the changes, the machine is still called Mark II, it functions the same and will be priced the same.
In Case You Were Wondering
One comment we’ve received about the Mark II’s old case was that it can be tricky to keep pristine. This was a side effect of the anodized surface of the old casing. For those not in the know, anodizing is an electrochemical process that involves coating a metal part with an oxide surface layer.
Thus, we turned to powder coating. Unlike regular liquid paint, powder coating is applied electrostatically and then cured under heat. The powder leaves a thicker, slightly textured coating, which is more durable and long-lasting. It protects from common scratches, stains and even UV radiation. Keeping the machine clean and beautiful has never been so easy and quick.
Switching Over to a New Look
Another change you may note is that the new casing lacks an AC switch on the rear. Moving forward, our Degritter Mark II machines will be able to detect voltage and automatically switch to 120V or 230V.
The new update protects your machine from damage that might occur if you power it on with the wrong AC settings. You will now have one fewer step to complete while setting up your machine.
The new features will make using the Degritter Mark II even more convenient than it is today. Starting in October 2024, all new machines will have new cases. If you want to get a Degritter machine for yourself, check out our e-shop or one of our official dealers near you!
